Ep.1 Call Of Duty
Call of Duty is a first person shooter crested by Activision in 2003 with the release of the first game Call Of Duty. Today we’re gonna analyze the newest release of the series Call Of Duty Modern Warfare II. Thé game is a direct sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare. These two new Modern warfare games are remakes of older titles from the franchise and they help bring nostalgia to the games while also having all the perks of a modern third party game. Modern Warfare II released October 28th 2022 and set records for the franchise selling $800 million worth of copies on the first three days of release beating any earlier titles.
Gameplay
The game runs on the IW engine and it feels amazing, the movement is slower then previous titles but this adds strategic and tactical missions elements into Call Of Duty which is refreshing compared to the mindless fast paced games we are used too. Gun animations feel as accurate as ever which is great for gun lovers but does slow down the pacing of the over all game with longer reload and aim down sight speeds. Over all the gameplay is a massive improvement over the previous instalment and breaths new life into the franchise.
Graphics
The graphics in this game are truly outstanding. Running on the IW engine this game pushes the industry to new levels with the immersive realness popping colours and image quality. You can see a example of the outstanding graphics here : https://youtu.be/RPCR2n_-8EM
Game modes
The game features Multiplayer, Campaign and 3 co op missions. Multiplayer is good old fashioned Call Of Duty multiplayer, Wether it’s domination, team death match or search and destroy you’ll be sure to find plenty of fun. The campaign continues the story of the first game and puts a big focus on story, the cutscenes are animated perfectly tricking some into believing it’s movie and the missions offer a variety of different strategies, environments and options. Finaly the co op missions are a nice extra addition giving you the chance to play objective based missions alongside friends.
Final thoughts
The game breaths new life Into the franchise while keeping the nostalgic routes of the originals, it’s perfect for new and old fans alike and you’re sure to find yourself playing for hours. The modes are all giving the same amount of attention and love making it easy to lose yourself in the game. Overall I’d give Call of Duty Modern Warfare a 9/10 and I can’t wait to see what they offer next year.
